Onsite Training Throughout Alberta.

Onsite training meets site and equipment specific training as required by the OH&S Regulations and the CSA B335-04 Standard. It also better prepares your operators to learn by eliminating the stress that can come from travelling to an unfamiliar location.

Course Descriptions
Operator Certification Courses

These courses:

  • Are for operators who have a minimum of 30 hours driving time on the forklift truck.

  • Include the trainee’s Operator Training Manual developed by Lift Truck Safety
    Training Centre. Written in plain English, includes over 400
    illustrations and pictures, contains 117 pages and is spiral-bound for easy use.

  • Make extensive use of Microsoft PowerPoint, training videos and models.

  • Consist of in-depth classroom instruction followed by an exam, a hands-on demonstration of comprehensive inspection procedures, and a hands-on evaluation of each persons operating knowledge and skill.

  • Thoroughly cover all required topics, plus, exceeding the regulations, these courses give additional instruction on relevant topics such as how to use a portable fire extinguisher, WHMIS, TDG labels and much more.

Successful graduates will be issued a wallet-sized certification card, a wall mount certificate and a hard hat decal.

Included is all necessary paperwork required to document and verify your due diligence, compliance with OH&S, CSA and company safety standards.

New Driver Certification Courses

These courses:

  • Are for absolute beginners with little or no past driving experience on the forklift truck.

  • Are the same as the Operator Certification Courses (See description above) but includes practice driving time under the helpful eye of the instructor.

mix of experienced drivers with new drivers.

Three-In-One Forklift Course

This course:

  • Is ideal for employees who have limited training time but require operator safety training on Counterbalanced, Narrow Aisle and Straight Mast Rough Terrain Forklifts.

  • Includes all the great features as the individual certification courses (See description above) but is designed to deliver the required operator safety training on each piece of equipment in one day. This is achieved through the elimination of duplicate information common to these forklifts.
Four participants maximum capacity to allow for adequate interaction.

By keeping training costs affordable, we encourage and support companies in attaining and maintaining excellent safety standards. We believe high standards set Canadian companies apart from and above the competition.

You will not be asked, nor do we require, your company to become a member in order to receive our rates. Access to our rates is not dependent on your companys affiliation or size.
Operator Certification Courses
Course Length: Approximately 5 to 8 hours depending on the number of employees and mix of experienced drivers with new drivers.

Course Cancellation Policy

We require 24 hours notice of cancellation from registrants in the Edmonton area. Notice of 48 hours of cancellation is required from registrants outside the Edmonton area. Registrants who do not provide Lift Truck Safety Training Centre with sufficient notice of their cancellation and/or who fail to attend a course are liable for the entire course rate plus expenses (if applicable).
